It’s festival season! If you weren’t lucky enough to pop to Coachella last month, then you’ll probably have to make do with the best that the U.K music-scene has to offer. The key is to find the right sort of event to suit you. There’s plenty of one-day options in case camping isn’t your thing, plus you can dress up a little more and look forward to a shower when you get in. For those of you with considerably more stamina, a weekend of constant partying and braving the elements is probably more appealing. Either way, these are the bits you’ll need to consider.
The Backpack
As much as I want to try and become a small bag person, in reality I need somewhere to put a jacket, umbrella, sealed water bottles and whatever else I may need to survive. A backpack solves this problem, you never know when you’ll need something like a portable phone charger or a picnic blanket, plus your hands are free for dancing.
Layers, Layers, Layers
When you’re outside all day, you can seemingly deal with about three seasons in the space of a few hours. It’s as if the weather can’t make up it’s mind, one minute it’s chilly, then sunny, then raining, then windy. The key is layers, by all means wear your denim cut-offs but make sure you stash a jumper, pair of tights and one of those fold-up parkas just in case you need to make a quick change. Also don’t forget your sunglasses, the bolder the better!
Choose Your Shoes Wisely
Wellies used to be the default shoe option but if it’s not going to be a total washout, then you can mix things up a little with some chunky boots or trainers. It’s all about being comfortable, so avoid heels that will get stuck in the grass and be prepared for people to stand on your feet!
