How is it August already? Even though I’ve just started getting into the swing of all things Summer, the AW15 collections are now arriving and it’s time to start thinking ahead. As much as I love bare legs, floaty dresses and sandals, I can’t help getting excited about the layering possibilities of the colder months. There’s just so much more to work with, I have coats that range from fluffy to tartan and don’t even get me started on shoes. You can guarantee that I’ll want to add even more chunky ankle boots to my collection, plus a bit of sparkle for any festivities. I popped to the Deichmann AW15 preview a little while ago to make a note of all the new styles and prepare a handy edit. You can thank me later!
Cool Kicks
Being a fan of comfort, I immediately zoned in on the trainers. Not only did they come in my favourite kind of colour scheme (grey with a pop of colour) but the prices are going to be seriously affordable, so owning multiple pairs can be an option. I’m going to start making some space for these…
Street-Style Approved
An androgynous pair of flats is my go-to style with jeans. I’ve seen this combination on many a street-style site and it’s one of the few looks I feel I can pull off without looking ridiculous. These may be in the ‘back-to-school’ section, but I still feel like chunky loafers can work even if exams and homework are a distant memory.
70s Revival
I practically lived in a similar pair of suede thigh-highs last year, so was pleased to see some in the new collection. They’ll seriously be the best purchasing decision you ever make and are cosy enough to skip the 200 denier tights. One of my favourite ways to wear them was with a 70s style printed dress and faux fur coat for a bit of retro impact, I’ll be repeating it this year!
Let me know your favourite thing about dressing for Autumn!
